Conflict Vietnam
Welcome to Conflict Vietnam 2018 put on by Chicken’s Tactical. For a basic rundown and story line read the letter to home and the information from the front lines. The game will start at 1000 hrs on the dot no matter ready or not the first mission will start at 10:10. When the game starts the US base will be a camp but after the first hour or so it will become a fire base to support our front lines. There will not be a brake for lunch so if people leave for lunch the enemy can take advantage of that and over run a base racking up lots of points. The game is set to end at 1700 hrs at 1730 we will start the debrief. During the debrief we will give out game award and have a best dressed for the time and game one for the US and one for the VC. The CO of the winning side gets the losing CO’s base flag.
Anyone wanting to camp may do so Friday to Sunday at no charge but may be woke up with the old Good morning Vietnam opening line and classic rock played all day on Saturday!! Camping is primitive a Porta-John will be on site and 110v available to anyone if you bring a drop cord to reach our distribution box. Quite time is from 2300-0600 hrs and we will not cut the power unless you are being very loud. As of right now campfires will be permitted in a fire pit or ring.

To the woman I love
Tension is high in the camp with the attack on the USS Maddox in the past months but everyone is in good spirits. We have been thrown into a conflict head first and here we are waiting for reinforcements with several things on our plate to do at one time. We have been given orders to establish a U.S. Embassy and protect it on top of everything else. I don't know how we are going to pull that off with the troops we have on hand, not to mention we have to push the NVC out of Saigon and keep them out. We have been briefed saying its going to be even harder than it seems as if we didn't already know. After that off to Khe-Sanh doing the same and if that's not enough on to Hue, and from there who knows. In the process of doing all this with no troops I might add we have to maintain what we have captured and find these lost supply drops that were dropped way off of the intended coordinates. We are going to need those supplies once we start pushing into North Vietnam because things will start getting slim. On top of all that there is a hidden V.C. strong hold and we have to find it. I just keep asking my self what is this going to cost us, how many men will not go home after all this? I am so glad I have you waiting for me at home and I can't wait till I get to see you and hold you again.
Love the Man wanting to come home
Here is a report from the front lines
Sir, after the attack on the U.S. ship scouts have reported a lot of movement with troops moving in and out of the camp regrouping and sending them back out so they are not well staffed. Our men are moving in place to assault the camp when they are least expecting it with mortar fire and rocket launchers backed with troops. Intel says the U.S. is looking to set-up an embassy somewhere near there camp. My XO has a lead on the missing map and has mobilized a squad to recover it. Both of my XO's think the Americans will push into Saigon, Khe-Sanh and on to Hue so there will be troops moved in to take a stand and keep them from moving forward. An informant in one of our villages spotted a parachute floating around in some trees so there must be a supply drop in that area. The U.S. will never find our base without the map. If by chance they find the map and find us the hill is fortified well enough that they will never make it to the top and we will take them with us if they try.
